Hey there! What's your name, and what's your favorite trail to ride on your Kavenz mountain bike?

I'm Hannes Klausner, a Pro Mountainbiker & outdoor/adventure enthusiast.

To be honest I have not a favourite trail out there. To me, the whole world is a playground and I love to ride different trails as much as I can and I do enjoy a new one each day on a bike that is capable of everything.

Where are your from?

I’m from the countryside of Salzburg/Austria.

How old are you?

Proud of 40+ and still rocking. Actually love riding bikes more than ever!

So, how tall are you, and what’s your frame size?

I’m 182cm tall and love to play with both sizes L & XL and also with other size options (chainstays/head tube / …) that Kavenz can deliver.

What is your riding style? Are you more like enduro racer, freerider or maybe a bike park rat?

I call myself an old-school freerider as to me biking/freeriding is not a discipline. It's getting out there and having fun with a tool that delivers more freedom than anything else.

Some days I love to shred trails, on others I prefer to explore and surf some untouched land, and on others, I just go have fun hitting some park laps.

Whatever it is, biking is the most fun activity ever!

Tell us, what's the one thing you absolutely love about your Kavenz bike? Any details or features that make it stand out for you?

Damn, this bike is so playful. Such a fun weapon and at the same time super fast-forward and capable of everything.

And yes, that Kavenz High Pivot System works unbelievably well and stands out for sure as well as all the custom geometry options customers can play with. One of a kind and my favourite bike since I do ride bikes.

Are you rolling on 27.5, 29, or maybe something in between? How do your wheels choice has an impact on your bike handling?

To me, Mullet/MX is my go-to wheel choice when it comes to bikes. It just fits my riding style, feels super fun and playful in the back, and has an amazing roll-over on the front.

A wheel setup that feels at home everywhere at any time. Exactly what I want and need.

How much suspension travel does your Kavenz bike have, and how does it handle the bumps, jumps, and surprises on the trail?

I do love to switch and play around with rear and front travel as much as I do with frame sizes.
I love to use a VHP18 with 200 in the front for some proper freeriding and some fast park laps or DH runs.
I love my VHP16 with 180 up front for trails, for longer adventure trips, and my everyday bike rides. A setup that does it all pretty much.

I'm also looking forward to riding a VHP14 on the trails out there very soon.

Sometimes less travel is super fun to feel the trail a bit more intense. It makes me move my body a lot more, ride more precisely, and also be more aggressive. Some people would be surprised how much fun short travel bikes are and how big they can go.

It also makes me appreciate long-travel bikes again, as I see and feel how much more they can do once I step back to them.

Share a funny or memorable moment on the trails with your Kavenz – something that still brings a smile to your face.

It's only 2 years on Kavenz for me and already countless memorable moments together. I really can't just tell a single one because there are too many good ones, but I can tell that I can't wait for the next one to come. And the one after.

If you could take your Kavenz bike anywhere in the world for an epic ride, where would it be?

It would be a place I haven't been to yet. And trust me, there are some plans already and I can't wait. Stay tuned :)

If your mountain biking adventures had a soundtrack, what songs would be on it? What music gets you pumped up before hitting the trails?

Punk Rock for Life. Just makes me go fast and have a big smile on my face while shredding bikes hard.
