Hey there! What's your name, and what's your favorite trail to ride on your Kavenz mountain bike?
My name is Ange, if I had to choose my favourite trail, a top to bottom of Maribor bike park would be towards the top of the list. Linking some good loamers, nice jumps on the red line and then the lower WC track for some fast and rough action.
Where are your from?
I'm from France but I'm currently living in Slovenia.
How old are you?
I'm 24 years old.
So, how tall are you, and what’s your frame size?
I'm 175cm / 5.7ft tall and ride a large Kavenz frame with shorter seat tube and longer head tube.
What is your riding style? Are you more like enduro racer, freerider or maybe a bike park rat?
I'd say I'm a bike enthusiast. I don't mind pedalling all day, I enjoy riding down natural trails, especially when it's steep. I like it fast and rough. I also find myself hitting big jumps from time to time.
Tell us, what's the one thing you absolutely love about your Kavenz bike? Any details or features that make it stand out for you?
I'm the lucky owner of a VHP G so the effigear gearbox is what I like the most about my bike.
Are you rolling on 27.5, 29, or maybe something in between? How do your wheels choice has an impact on your bike handling?
I run mullet, it's really a must for me, it adds very useful butt/tyre clearance, especially in the steeps.
How much suspension travel does your Kavenz bike have, and how does it handle the bumps, jumps, and surprises on the trail?
I have 180 mm travel front and back, it makes it so good on proper downhill tracks and it's perfect for my riding style. To be honest the first time I rode a Kavenz, I was constantly checking if I had a flat in the rear. The suspension is just so smooth.
Share a funny or memorable moment on the trails with your Kavenz – something that still brings a smile to your face.
To me fun and scary go hand in hand. Last year I had a mega day riding in Loudenvielle, I climbed 2200m. After the last climb, I was completely cooked and dropped in a super tech, steep and slippery trail. I almost crashed so many times and I was so out of control. But somehow I survived, that was the most fun for sure!
If you could take your Kavenz bike anywhere in the world for an epic ride, where would it be?
I'd love to bring my Kavenz to Queenstown, NZ. Hit dream line, these jumps just look so good. And I'd love to ride the sickest steep trails they have where it's already scary to watch Pottsy's POV.
If your mountain biking adventures had a soundtrack, what songs would be on it? What music gets you pumped up before hitting the trails?
My favourite trail tune is Crazy Train from Ozzy Osbourne, nothing beats a mega train with many friends!
