Hey there! What's your name, and what's your favorite trail to ride on your Kavenz mountain bike?
Hey, my name is Antoni Stolarek and my favourite trail is Abom at Mount Buller, Victoria. Easy, simple flow trail but high average speed.
Where are your from?
Born and Raised in Victoria, Australia.
How old are you?
I‘m 33 years old.
So, how tall are you, and what’s your frame size?
I’m 179cm / 5.9ft I was riding a large 480mm reach Kavenz but now on a medium 460mm. The Kavenz rides so well I get the benefits of a large bike in 460mm so that’s why I downsized.
What is your riding style? Are you more like enduro racer, freerider or maybe a bike park rat?
Totally an enduro racer.
Tell us, what's the one thing you absolutely love about your Kavenz bike? Any details or features that make it stand out for you?
It’s the best bike I’ve owned and it’s the perfect bike for all types of riding.
Here are my favourite things about Kavenz:
It pedals well, and descends really good.
I can change suspension and whenever I want with ease.
I can change wheel sizing and whenever I want with ease.
I also love the raw colour. The frame looks in good condition all the time.
Are you rolling on 27.5, 29, or maybe something in between? How do your wheels choice has an impact on your bike handling?
I’m riding full 29er.
How much suspension travel does your Kavenz bike have, and how does it handle the bumps, jumps, and surprises on the trail?
I have 170mm fork and 160mm at rear.
I keep the suspension settings the same wherever I go, no matter how rough or smooth the trails are.
I find it feels plush and comfortable anywhere I go and I’ve never felt I need something bigger or more travel.
Share a funny or memorable moment on the trails with your Kavenz – something that still brings a smile to your face.
I was very fresh into the sport 5 years ago when I got my first ever mountain bike and always struggled with my riding and racing. But once I got a Kavenz that all turned around. Last year I achieved 7 first places, 1 second place and 2 third places and owe it all to the Kavenz giving me the confidence and comfort I needed.
Also, when I got the Kavenz I was so amazed how well it pedals so I wanted to see how much vert I could pedal so once did over 3,000 metres of climbing in one day. I’m still amazed how good the bike felt and I would love to one day push that number much higher.
If you could take your Kavenz bike anywhere in the world for an epic ride, where would it be?
I’d love to go to Queenstown, New Zealand. It’s on the bucket list!
I’d also love to do a bike packing trip.
If your mountain biking adventures had a soundtrack, what songs would be on it? What music gets you pumped up before hitting the trails?
Anything heavy like Parkway Drive or old school rap music like Biggie Smalls and 2pac pumps me up but what pump me up the most is having a good riding buddy or riding with someone faster than me. Someone who is keen to shred and push the limits.
